Hospitality Technology is pleased to announce that Gregory Forbes, Director of Above Wing Operations for Delta Air Lines, will be the day two opening keynote on Wednesday, April 10 for HT-NEXT. His presentation, which is titled "How Delta Air Lines Elevates Experience and Meets High-Flying Expectations," will take attendees through the journey of how Delta is transforming the airport experience, eliminating friction points to allow employees to focus on high-quality guest interactions. Forbes will share insights into how the airline is achieving this by streamlining guest check-ins and ID checks with facial recognition and inspire attendees to focus on leveraging technology to make sure that increased volume doesn’t mean a decrease in high-value experiences for customers.

As director of Above Wing Operations, Forbes is responsible for airport policy, procedure, technology and field support. Above Wing refers to all areas of airport operations that touch the customer, from lobby to security checkpoints to Delta Sky Club lounges and gates. Delta’s agents are at the strategic core of Delta’s operations, and the Above Wing team creates tools for agents to consistently deliver the “Delta Difference.” Delta recently opened the first fully biometric airport terminal in the US at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, which allows customers travelling internationally to go “curb-to-gate” without needing a boarding pass or passport. Forbes is the program owner for airport biometrics at Delta, and will share the experience of designing and deploying the solution at the world’s busiest airport. Delta has been recognized as a Fortune's top 50 Most Admired Companies in addition to being named the most admired airline for the eighth time in nine years. Additionally, Delta has ranked No.1 in the Business Travel News Annual Airline survey for an unprecedented eight consecutive years and named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies Worldwide for two consecutive years.

Hospitality Technology (HT) and Hospitality Technology Next Generation (HTNG) are collaborating for the third year in a row to host HT-NEXT 2019, a unique conference for the hospitality technology industry. HT-NEXT 2019 will take place April 8-11 at the Hilton Riverside Hotel in New Orleans.

HT-NEXT features emerging trends and the ability to dig in to work together to solve current industry problems. The program will feature thought-provoking keynotes, diverse educational sessions, HTNG workgroups and a technology exhibit hall for attendees to discover cutting-edge solutions. The Hotel Visionary Awards and the HTNG TechOvation Award are also presented live during the event.
